According to an hyderabad based organistaion almost half of Indian population suffer from malnutrition. The organisation does not hold any credibility and its survey might not get government consent but the results it maintained is enough to have a serious thought.
Undoubtedly, the survey has left Prime minister Manmohan Singh surprised and worried as he declared the case more a national shame and major blocade in all round development.India is approaching towards to become a world power and we are the fastest developing country in the world but the case of malnutrition makes indian feel guilty.
How a country said to be developed and sophisticated where its people are struggling for two times meal.Government claims of no one sleeps without meal has experienced a setback as the survey reveal the reverse story. It is shameful even for the reason that most of the food grain is kept locked in godown and the worsining fact that the food is not distributed to the needy one.
Last year supreme court had ordered to distribute the rotten wheat and other cereals to distribute among the poors kept in godowns for so long, but the government didn’t responded it well. The people in power must act spontaneously before it is too late.
